Based on the excellent animated film of the same name, Waltz with Bashir tells the story of Ari, a former soldier who partially remembers his stay in the refugee camps of Sabra and Chatila.
Ari is constantly tormented in his dreams about his warrior days and because of that he decides to go in search of his former companions to ask them about one memory he has of the “night of the massacre”.
As the story progresses, we realize that each character has a different way of seeing the world and that each of them remembers very different things, making us doubt if what they say really happened or not.
Waltz with Bashir is a work that does not hesitate to portray in great detail the cruelties committed during an armed conflict. This is a story about memories, and how they play a very important role in our lives.
